poetry response cuestion
my shadow
Robert Louis Stevenson
The connections I made with the title is this Like a shadow following me.
The poem was organized into 4 stanzas with 4 lines. The rhyming pattern is AABB AABB AABB AABB .
The tone of the poem is sad. Maybe her husband died and her shadow reminds her of him.
The poetic devices I identified in the poem are:.
simile - for he sometimes shoots up taller like an indian rubber ball
hyperbole - i have a little shadow that goes in and out with me
the meaning of this poem is To appreciate life
